Memory is important for a wide variety of activities, from learning new skills to performing well at work. Although a decline in memory is natural with age or stressful seasons of life, it can also be affected by neurological conditions, brain injury, chronic health conditions, and lowered mood. Fortunately, no matter the cause of your memory challenges, there is potential to improve it with the right guidance.

Improve your memory with Brellah’s memory training program

Led by our clinical neuropsychologist, Dr Zoe Fitzgerald, our innovative memory training program is designed to enhance memory with an engaging, structured, and evidence-based approach.

During this 6-week course, you will develop skills in various aspects of memory, including:

  • Attention and encoding – how to focus and encode information more effectively
  • Storage – how to store new information more efficiently
  • Retrieval – how to accurately and rapidly recall information when needed
  • Memory enhancement – how to improve each stage of the memory process

You will also gain a deeper understanding of the concept of learning and memory, including how environment, stress, mood, sleep, and even diet can affect your memory functioning.

How our memory training program works

Led by an expert clinical neuropsychologist.

Under the guidance of our experienced clinical neuropsychologist, the memory training program involves 1-hour weekly sessions over the course of 6 weeks (or 2-hour face-to-face for those who have no computer access). After your pre-assessment consultation, you may choose to participate in these weekly sessions either entirely online or face-to-face at our Caringbah practice in a small group of 3-5 people.

Tailored small group sessions

These weekly sessions with our neuropsychologist are designed to effectively and efficiently enhance your memory skills within a setting that allows individualised attention for each participant.

Convenient online training materials

The program integrates an online component to be completed outside your clinical sessions. These tasks include pre-session education with informative videos and quizzes to prepare you for your meetings, as well as post-session activities with practical exercises to reinforce what you have learned.

See how much you’ve improved with a post-training assessment

At the end of your 6 weeks, our clinical neuropsychologist will conduct a second assessment and provide a report so you can track your progress. All participants will continue to have access to the online learning material for an additional 6 weeks after you complete your clinical sessions, giving you further opportunity to solidify your new memory skills.
